Although this piece was made as result of the Travel (Muslim) Ban Executive Order; it speaks about larger themes such as immigration, exile, and being “the Other”. This piece engages the American audience with Iranian culture and Farsi language through Iranian movement aesthetics and cultural signifiers integrated with score-based improvisation inspired by New York post-modern era dance forms.
